Aubé by Edith Boughton I was born and raised (through my early teens) in Manila, Philippines. My father was of French, English, and Spanish heritage, and my mother was a Filipino. I moved to Chicago to attend college, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Accounting. I have always been creative and loved fashion at a very early age, so I started making clothes and jewelry as a hobby. When friends and family saw my designs, they loved them, and with the unending encouragement and support of my husband, I made the decision to follow my passion full time. Over the months, I honed my craft, and have been designing for three years under the label Aubé by Edith B. My inspiration has always been Parisian chic and 70’s fashion with modern touches blended with my Filipino culture, incorporating exotic fabrics, producing designs from everyday casual to evening wear. I became an entrepreneur to be creative, give back to the community, and make a living. I am also very passionate about animal rescue, and educating people on the plight of the most misunderstood breed, the “pitbull”. I have rescued 3 of my own, Max and Gobi….and a German Shepherd named Tigger, who passed on at the tender age of 14, in 2012, and have also been a foster mom to Ali a rescued pit who has since been adopted. My collection is inspired by my late mother Anita B. Aubé, whose favorite color is blue, therefore the different shades are a tribute to her memory.
